Players with exceedingly big hearts are willing to sacrifice part of their salary to the team to otherwise pursue prospective stars.  This money comes straight out of the player\u2019s  pockets and it is investment in the team.  It is fundamentally fair to consider this to be an ownership move, and teams that request such concession from a player should be willing to compensate such a player with team ownership.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

To put a finer point on it, ownership dollars greatly exceed salary dollars in consideration of team profit margin. If a concession of $10 Million is made, similar to that made by  D. Wade, and if the team makes 10% on their investments, then Mr. D. Wade is entitled to $100,000,000.00 ( 100 $Million ) in team ownership.  That is a very high number, and by the way, it is yearly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you think that I am crazy, then consider the slave that gives Massa $10 Million to help Massa buy more slaves!   Not that NBA players are slaves, but NBA teams have ownership. Whatever profit margin applies, the benevolent player is entitled to it in reverse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is in sharp contrast to the current pat on the head and & ada-boy \u00a0proclamation. There is a difference between negotiation and writing legal terms. I was delighted when Carmelo Anthony told Phil Jackson to go to Hell when Phil complained about Anthony not being willing to make such a foolish, self deprivation move!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Money offers that are being reported during this current round of Free Agency are truly staggering.  It is very apparent that super stars are going to demand hefty price tags.  Teams will be challenged to maintain sanity during this incredible feeding fest.  It seems that some players are scarcely worth some of the offers that we have heard of after day one of 2016 Free Agency.  It is a sure bet that some aggressive moves to acquire talent will require some additional consideration, after the smoke clears and teams struggle to fill out their rosters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
